PONZA ISLAND EXCURSION
Ponza island excursion, a day trip from Rome.
Our boat excursion covers all the most iconic and beautiful locations the islands have to offer, from ancient Roman hand-carved cisterns to naturally formed arches. As we gently cruise the shoreline, we will listen to the story of Domitilla, exiled to the islands in complete solitude and how the islands were repopulated in the 1700s by inhabitants of Ischia near Capri. Several stops will allow you to take a swim in the inviting crystal waters and a hot plate of pasta will be served as your lunch onboard. If you’re lucky enough, a pod of dolphins might pay you a visit!
Don’t forget:
- Swim suits, beach towels, sun tan lotion, flip flop or sandals, sunglasses and a hat.
- Basic swimming abilities
- Please warn us of any history regarding food allergies, intolerances, specific diets, sea sickness etc.

Ferry to Ponza
Once we arrive at Anzio port you will have plenty of time to grab a Cappucino before the ferry departs at 8,30 am sharp.

Begin Boat Excursion
At Ponza port our excursion boat with crew will be ready for departure at 10,30 am. Your guide will be with you at all times.

Boat Excursion
Our boat excursion will take you to the most breath taking locations of Ponza and Palmarola. Hear the stories of our captain as you bathe in the sun. Our excursion will stop several times to allow you to take a swim in the inviting waters.

There will be a brief stop at the lovely island of Palmarola as the crew will prepare your pasta lunch.

Visit the Cale
Our boat excursion continues as we head back to Ponza. Here we will bring you to the various coves known as “cale” and to a natural arch formation.

Stroll and Shop
Slowly and gently our crew will steer us back to Ponza’s port. Once docked, you will have plenty of time to stroll around the little and quaint shops aligned along side the pier. The ferry back to Anzio departs at 05,30pm.

Piramide Metro Stop
Transfer back to Rome
Once back at Anzio port, our private van will waiting for you to take you back to Rome at Piramide metro stop. Your guide will gladly give you recommendations, advice and assist you in any way if needed.

** Cancellation policy
Itertours will refund 65% of the total payment given before 72 hrs. of the booked date of the tour. Any cancellations within 72 hrs. or “No Shows” will not be refunded and Itertours will keep 100% of the sum paid for. This is due to the fact that reservations have been made, fast ferry tickets have been acquired, third party private transport has been ordered and a personal qualified guide has been hired. For causes of force majeure include impersonal events such as extreme weather conditions, natural disasters, strikes, traffic accidents, earthquakes, etc. that makes it dangerous or impossible to safely undertake the tour, Itertours will offer a different date or a 65% refund.
